ABOUT THE WINTER GARDENS ESPORTS EVENT
The Winter Gardens Esport event will consist of multiple activities that you can both take part in, and watch.
On top of all this it will be live streamed on our very own college twitch channel: twitch.tv/esports_lmc

Livestreamed Event!
In addition to the event, our production crew will also be live streaming the entire event. There will be a livestream section on the floor for our talent and special guests to stream from, along with a commentators room for our commentator to cast the games for both the crowd and livestream

ACTIVITIES
Here you can see the activities that will be taking place on the day, some may involve participation whereas others can simply be viewed.
Cosplay Competition
There will be cosplay competition held at our event. Registration is required in advance to compete on stage to show off guest cosplays to ultimately be judged on three main aspects which will eventually decide 1st, 2nd and 3rd places who will all win prizes!
Minecraft Build Competition
We will also be hosting a Minecraft build competition that anyone can enter on the day. This will be held at one of the stations, each participant that enters will have 5 minutes to build their building, which will then be judged at the end of the day to decide a winner.
LAN Tournement
For the main event we are hosting a live LAN tournament. Local schools/teams will register in advance to submit their team and be invited to come and play on stage Infront of a audience. The event will be shoutcasted by our own commentator to enhance the viewing experience!
Arcade/Retro Games
At the event there will be multiple stations hosting *arcade machines and retro consoles that anyone is welcome to try-out and enjoy.

Sim Rig Racing
At the event there will be a Sim Rig Racing setup at a station, which will be free for anyone to try-out and use.

There will be hot lap times for you to try and beat on the day!
Schedule

12:00pm
Event will be opened to the public.
Doors open to the public, where people can take part in a multitude of stations for example sim racing, Minecraft build competion and design an esports shirt to name but a few. Come and experience the esport vibe, meet the crew and hang out enjoy the music.
1:00 - 2:30pm
LAN Tournament starts
LAN Tournament will consist of local schools/teams playing against each other on stage in either Overwatch or Rocket League (dependent upon interest/sign ups). This will be broadcast and commentated over by ZeLexi resulting in an intense experience matchup for an entertaining viewing experience.
2:45 - 3:30pm
Cosplay Competition starts
Cosplay event - cosplayers will start to take the stage to show off their own cosplays. Ultimately to be judged by our panel of judges to decide the 'best' cosplay on the day.
4:00pm
Event closes to the public
Doors close. This will be the end of the event, hopefully you will have had an enjoyable time, and you can always go to our twitch channel (@esports_lmc) to rewatch the entire event as it will have been livestreamed throughout the day.

YOU'RE INVITED TO OUR COSPLAY COMPETITION!
We would love for you to come and show your cosplay at our event! You don't even have to compete as it would be great to see as many costumes and attendees on the day!
Whether just to enjoy the event, or compete against other cosplayers on stage, all are welcome.

You have the chance to be judged on stage by our panel of experienced judges on three different categories consisting of: Accuracy, Detail, and Excellence.
​
Walk out to your own music and show off your cosplay in front of a crowd and have a chance to compete against others to win various prizes.
​
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

DO YOU HAVE A TEAM THAT YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
In order to get a chance at being able to play on stage in front of a crowd you will first have to fill out an application form. Please understand that slots are limited and we can't guarantee you a spot on stage but we will try our best to accomodate as many players and teams as possible.
We will be prioritising schools, so if you are interested in playing on stage, creating a team with your school friends could lead to the opportunity to play live on stage!

Our games will be live broadcasted and players will have the opportunity to get interviewed by our hosts so please ensure every player is aware and comfortable with these realities.
